Please allow me to outline my 10 years design experience:
I first started my design career as a web designer in California for a small firm specializing in websites for law firms. My job title was that of Art Director, and I was in charge of designing and programming all of the websites for the company's numerous clients. Late in my position there, after more help had been acquired, I was also in charge of overseeing others' work and making sure websites were designed to customer specifications and produced on time.
From there, I went on to work for another company that handled touring logistics for traveling acts. There I was sort of a "jack-of-all-trades," maintaining the website, producing print materials, fixing internal computer problems, etc. Unfortunately while I was there I spent so much time dealing with these sorts of issues that I never had much time to build the new website, which is what I had been hired to do originally.
My most recent full-time employment was for Carvin Corporation, manufacturer of Guitars and Pro Sound equipment. Here I was also in charge of many different tasks, the primary being production of a monthly 16-page flyer; and secondary was the maintenance of the website to reflect the various promotions and price changes that would happen on a weekly basis.
Now, for the last 5 years, I have been working strictly as a freelance designer handling any multimedia, web (design or programming), or graphic design type of project for various clients all over the world, including Adobe, Lionsgate Films, Trims Unlimited (an Inc. 5000 company), and Acquire (a Japanese video-game manufacturer.)
